Our Mission: Every Body Belongs Here

At Connected Core Yoga™, we believe you’re not broken — you’re simply coming home to yourself. My mission is to help you feel safe, supported, and strong as you reconnect with your core and pelvic floor.

welcome

I’m Allie, a yoga teacher and pelvic floor advocate based in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

My journey into teaching began with a personal search for connection — learning how to feel at home in my body again. Along the way, I discovered that functional, anatomy-based yoga could be both deeply healing and profoundly empowering.

Now, I share this work with others: combining gentle, nurturing guidance with clear, evidence-informed education. My role is to guide you with compassion, while giving you the knowledge and tools you need to trust your body again.

My Story

My Approach

Every class and workshop blends three essential elements:

Gentle guidance → Safe, supportive practices that meet you where you are.

Functional education → Simple, evidence-based knowledge that helps you understand your body.

Whole-person healing → Movement, breathwork, and awareness that restore both strength and confidence.

Whether you’re postpartum, peri/menopausal, recovering from surgery, or simply wanting to reconnect, there is space for you here.

My Training & Specialty

My yoga journey began with a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) through Supernova Power Yoga in 2024. That same year, I started teaching at Jade Therapies and Yarmouth Yoga, sharing the practice with my local community.

Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my studies — both in the philosophy of yoga, aspiring to honour the eight limbs of yoga, and in specialized areas of anatomy and core health.

Pelvic Floor Specialty: I chose to focus my continuing education on pelvic floor yoga, completing training with Leslie Howard’s Pelvic Floor Yoga Teacher Training. I am currently completing my practicum toward further certification in this specialty.

Anatomy-Informed Yoga: In 2025, I attended Anatomy Informed Yoga training through Tusket House, enhancing my ability to guide students safely with functional, body-aware practices.

Trauma-Sensitive Approach: While I am not formally certified in trauma-informed yoga, I bring a trauma-sensitive lens to every class — creating a space that is safe, welcoming, and adaptable for all bodies.

This combination of formal training, specialized study, and lived teaching experience allows me to offer practices that are both nurturing and evidence-based — so you can feel supported and confident on your path back to connection.
